This 4000m2 Heavy Vehicle workshop at Xstrata Zinc's George Fisher mine at Mt Isa in Queensland, is just one of the major projects completed by The Specialist Group in recent months. The epoxy protective floor coating applied in this instance ensures that the demanded requirement for cleanliness by the manufacturers (Caterpillar) of the heavy mining equipment serviced in this workshop can be easily maintained and complies with their 'Five Star' standard.
The walkways and other demarcations comply with the Australian Standard to ensure that the workforce have safe passage to all areas of the workshop. The earth moving machines driven across this floor weigh in excess of 200 tonnes, so the necessity for a tough, durable coating made the selection of an epoxy system simple! |

| This project required the refurbishment of a significant School refectory area including cement tables and chairs. Each chair and table was carefully resurfaced before being cleaned back through numerous inferior coatings, then finally recoated with our Epoxy solution. This will ensure the refectory area is much more attractive for students, and much easier for grounds personnel to maintain well into the future. |
